Machine Translation (MT)

Translators can maybe be a little too proud of their profession and work every now and then - it could be because of the lack of respect or even disrespect from 'others'. Without getting too philosophical I guess it's also a way of protecting yourself as a small entrepeneur in a creative and non regulated environment. However, it's not only people where you have to stand up against. The talk about machine translation (MT) is going on for some years now. I don't believe it will ever take over. Of course it might get to the level of near native - but then you still need heavy editing I think. Only time will tell.
